I am hoping to be attending dental school in 2005; however, I do have a question regarding financial aid. I am currently married and will probably have to move closer to school once I start. The school I want to attend does not offer housing (UMDNJ). In this case can I include some of my living costs (rent, utilities, etc) into my loan amount?

I am new to the financial aid process so please be as detalied as you can.

If I am unable to do so I do not think I can afford to go to school. What other ways can I go about this?

Thanks

You're allowed to include living costs in your loan amounts. For example, I'm receiving the standard $38,500 in Stafford loans, but my school costs are only about $24,000. The rest, I receive back to use for living expenses. You should be able to find a way to afford it; good luck! 😀
