The state association of the state you want to live in is usually the best resource.
Some post it on their websites, others are better to contact personally.
They often have a list of practices looking to hire or sell their practice.

Commercial optometry jobs are often plentiful, but good commercial jobs are tougher to find.

How hard is it to find a job as an optometrist right after graduating (especially if you don't have any connections)? Any stories?
It can vary. The question isn’t about finding a job necessarily, as I’m sure you’ll find one, it’s more about whether or not you’ll find one you like with good pay and benefits. That can be much trickier without networking.
