Finding OB/GYN to Shadow

Has anyone here tried to get a shadowing opportunity with an OB/GYN? If so, were you successful in finding one to shadow? I am interested in the specialty, but it is challenging finding someone willing to let a pre-med shadow them.

Does it matter?

Yes it will likely make it tougher to shadow, some preceptor don’t take male medical students even.
