Dear All,

I graduated with DDS degree in May 2007 and currently live in California. I am having issue with my finger prints due to excessive sweating on my hands. First time, I did my finger prints in July and they were rejected by Department of Justice and Dental Board of California requested me to do it again. I did my finger prints again in August, it has been close to 3 months and I am not getting any feedback from Dental Board of California. Every time I call them, they tell me that they are waiting for DOJ department of justice to process my finger prints. I am getting behind on my student loan payments. Can anybody please advice, what should I do or whom should I contact to get some type of answer on my finger prints. Please help the needful.

You have to submit fingerprints to get a dental license? Are you a dentist or a ciminal? Isn't a drivers license, birth certificate, voting reg enough? :scared: Do they take DNA samples too?

well, seeing how you are out west...what you need to do is find a plastic surgeon...get some botox in your hands...and viola!...no more sweating for about 8 months!!

or before you go get them done, wash your hands in some really strong face wash....10% benzoyl peroxide....and they will dry out for a few hours...

good luck with that

Try LiveScan at the nearest police station.

"Apolonia, will you relieve this toothache?"

I got my live scan at PDQ fingerprint in Davis, CA, then I brought my application up to Sacto right away and got my license in less than 2 weeks. Exactly one month after I took my exam, I already started working.
Don't call Sacramento, just go do another live scan and drive yourself up to Sacto, that's the best way to get your license. Sound pretty stupid, but it works, trust me. Because it works for me. I couldn't believe I got my license in such a short time. Remember to bring cash or money order too. Because it takes very long to process your personal check.

About student loan, you can call them and tell that you are not working and they can delay your payment for at least a year.

Good luck

What other states are requiring fingerprints for dental licensure?

It won't be long before the government has a fingerprint database for every citizen and non-citizen in the country. :d

Anyone else find this a scary sign of the times?
Thoughts? Opinions?
