I took the DAT this past Tuesday and thought I'd post my scores and impressions about the test.

Here's my scores:
Biology 20
Chem 19
O Chem 23
PAT 20
Reading Comp. 21
QR 14

Total Science: 20
Academic Average: 19

I used Kaplan, DAT Destroyer, TopScore Pro and Crack DAT PAT. DAT Destroyer and Crack were my favorites and seemed to help most with the actual DAT. Overall I felt the test was fair and reflected my understanding of the material (Gen Chem and QR are definitely my weaknesses).

For those of you still studying, I really recommend taking off work/school and dedicating 4-5 weeks of solid study. Its impossible to predict what questions will appear on your test, so the more practice the better! The DAT is definitely doable. Staying calm is important.

Thanks for all those who take the time to post comments here on SDN. Good luck for those yet to take it, and let me know if you have any specific questions about the test.

great scores.

could you post your topscore grades?

thanks

sup couger....we took the test the same day and i'd muchhhhhhhhhhhh rather haver your scores....i had a 21TS and 19AA but a 15 in PAT.....so i htink your pretty set, where as me i might have to consider retake. great job and congratz

Good scores. Unfortunately, your science scores do not round up. It could have been 21.

arnt they suppost to wround up i remember last year they rounded my 16.5 to a 17 lol

The AA is an average and IS rounded. The TS is NOT rounded b/c it's not an average of the three scores. It's your scaled score for the total number of questions that you missed out of the 100 asked.

Great Scores. Can you post your achiever test results? Thanks.

How many plant questions roughly were on the DAT? Or if this question is some violation, then- was plant biology a significant portion on the DAT?

I am taking the DAT on the 16th, so I am actually getting a little nervous. My weakness is plants, so I was just wondering.

Also, if anyone has any receommendations on studying for the plant section on the DAT, that would be helpful.🙂

I didn't keep the details on my topscore tests. Although I believe on the first two I scored 19, and the third I got a 20 AA. Biology was always my worst section.

I didn't take any Achiever tests.

I usually got between 16-17 on my QR tests. I was hoping for above a 15, but oh well.

As far as plants go, there were not very many questions on the test I got. There were some general autotrophic respiration questions, but I would cover your base by studying plan repro and classification for sure. Any more questions, let me know. Sorry for the delay in the reponse.

Good luck everyone!!
