I was pretty happy with the results, especially ochem! But, to be honest, I feel a little bummed about my biology section! That was supposed to be my ace in the hole since I'm a bio major; so I was kinda like 😕.

I don't think my bio is stellar, but it's not terrible either. So, I'm pretty happy 😳

My last week of studying I was really trying to stay focused, but boy was it hard! I was getting depressed, nervous, and lazy! I'm just glad it's over!

Prep. materials used:
- Kaplan Blue Book (2009-2010 edition)
- Kaplan MCAT Q-Bank
- Barron's DAT Prep. Book; mostly for PAT
- Old Class Notes, Exams, and Books
- Achiever Tests; generally way overkill, but useful! Could probably do without.
- TopScore Pro Tests; very helpful!
- Kaplan Online Diagnostic
- ADA Sample Test

What do you guys think? Thanks to everyone at SDN for help and advice!

Beautiful scores. Congrats on nailing the DAT!

Thanks! Despite the biology score, I think I should be somewhat ok :xf:

I find it funny, because I held a junior scientist position in a genetics/heart lab and I was extensively involved in research and bio related curricula. :eyebrow:

IMO, bio is the hardest section just because of the sheer amount of knowledge. GC and OC -- they might be difficult to get at first but there just isn't a whole lot that you need to know. Bio you can never know enough but I get where you're coming from. I'm sure it was a shocker but even so, your scores are great and will earn you a seat this December.

Thanks for the encouragement 🙂 It is an awful large amount of knowledge!

I'm praying really hard that I'll get a seat in December!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! i knew that you would be happy w/your scores.

Congrats!!So overall would you say that the real thing was of the same difficulty as top score?More difficult/less difficult?

I would say that the TopScore tests were representative of the real thing.

The RC section formatting was not quite the same' the passages jumped back to the beginning every time I went to the next section. Also, the calculator was very sluggish and you have to punch the buttons really slow for it to process 😛

your a perfect living example of what I always tell people. Practice scores DO NOT DICTATE HOW YOU REALLY PERFORM ON THE REAL DAT.

Congrats, 20/21/21 are very nice scores 👍
