I work for a fire dept that provides fire and EMS. I am cross trained as a paramedic and firefighter. My department in a combination full/part time so I can make my own schedule which allows me to finish my undergraduate. Where I live many of the departments in the area use a couple of different physical agility tests. Some us the combat challenge test(like you see on ESPN 8, the ocho), others use the cpat test, still others only require a test of push-ups, sit-ups, and 1 or 2 mile run. I have taken the cpat test which is the one that makes you wear the weighted vest and then perform different activities made to simulate fireground operations. The hardest part of that test was actually just the first part where you climb a stairmaster for only like 3 minutes. If you miss a step or put your arms on the rails you fail automatically. The other activities are just like hitting a target to make the buzzer go off or pulling on a pole that simulates pulling ceiling, no big deal. But that stairmaster is some kind of torture device. I did pass the cpat test, but it was hard and I have run a couple of marathons.

Are there any firefighters here? If so have you taken the Firefighters' Agility Test, if so what did you get?
Not sure what you mean by 'what did you get?' Most depts I know of use some version of the combat challenge, tweaked to their specifications. Often, each event is pass/fail with a maximum time limit for the entire test. Some depts have a time limit for each event, but only a few depts around me actually rank candidates with their time...you either pass or you don't stay on the list.
