Do people review FA for Step 1 for any aspect of Step 2?
I'm thinking pharm?
What about micro? Anything else? I'm dreading this. I definitely get the sense from UWorld the behavioral science/specificity/PPV chapter is a must, thought the questions for this Step the PPV and NPV etc q's seem easier?

No, I would strongly suggest NOT using FA for step 1 while studying for step 1. Are you IMG or AMG? If you have taken the NBME shelf exams, you should know what to expect. If not, look at USMLE world. Step 1 review books would be very low yield for step 2.

Wasn't thinking of using Step 1 books to study for Step 2...Wondering if it's worth it to review my First Aid for Step 1 for pharm or other topics that are relevant on Step 2...

I think it'd be ok to get the clinical correlates of micro, I dont think you need to know every little detail again ...

for pharm, i think it'd be ok ... i need to hammer down antibiotics since my school did an "oh so wonderful" job with that and it's still my Achilles heel ...

im not covering anything else really, path is low-yield it seems, b/c the emphasis is on pathophysiology/dx, management, tx, etc ... doesnt mean i wont refer to it from time to time if need be, though.

i was refraining from posting b/c ive not taken the exam though (caveat)

Thx. I just figured it wasn't a bad idea to re-utilize sources that one is already familiar/comfortable with and that are obviously going to have relevance. Thought I had heard at some point that certain topics in FA for Step 1 are worth a non-hardcore review (micro and pharm especially). So far after having started IM in UW I find that there is a decent bit of stuff with direct Step 1 recall (pharm interactions, behavioral, and diagnostic path though less pathophys...Still, Goljan for Step 1 audio repeat won't totally hurt). Eeek.
