My first choice school hasn't responded to me yet, but I know how difficult it is to get in there. So I have my doubts.

If you don't get into the DPT program that you really want, but you get into maybe your 3rd or 4th school out of a list of 10. Do you go to that 3rd school or do reject it and try again to the school you really want?

Morning MJHuskers. I haven't heard from my top choice either, but there is no way in the world that I would wait another year (if that's what you're implying). My reason may be more biased though b/c I am 31, and want to get in and out of school asap so that I can start practicing. Perhaps if you're younger, you could retry for your top choice, especially considering that as a re-applicant, you stand out more. I'm just happy to have been accepted and start moving towards my dream career as quickly as possible.

I'm not saying I wouldn't go to the 3rd or 4th school (I applied to 7 total), but that first school is ideal with location, curriculum-manual/orthopedic focus, professors, well-known school, and a better tuition. That first school is the one I really want, but I suppose the others will work out as well.

everyone on here seems to be in agreement that the only real thing that matters is that the schools is accredited. now, if your first choice is a significant difference in cost, then you may have a reason to reapply. otherwise, i would go wherever you get in
