Hi, I am taking DAT this saturaday and want to ask questions about it.

First of all,

When I take test, am I allowed to use a piece of paper to write on and stuff like that?

Also, am I allowed to use a calculator in GenChem section?

Are there other tips you would be able to provide me for the test?

Also, are there any other practice test I can do that's available? I have only done Kaplan DAT CD test I have scored the following:

Science : 20
Math : 25
Reading : 22
PAT : 24

And, would like to know how I would do in the real exam compared to this prep one.

Thank you very very much.

Man, no offense, but how could you not know the answers to these questions with less than a week left until the exam?

As the previous person mentioned, no calculators are allowed for ANY part of the exam.

Scratch paper is not allowed - they give you 2 laminated sheets of paper (approximately 8 1/2 x 11) with dry erase markers.

There's plenty of other practice tests out there (such as TopScore and Achiever), but at this stage in the game, you might be SOL.

In general, most people have said that Kaplan is much easier than the real thing (i.e. it's not a very accurate gauge of actual performance).

Good luck...

yea no way !! you can use a calculator on the gen chem section but you cant use it on the physics section!!! Good luck on the DAT this Saturday!!

haha, I think there is a new type of trolling where you only ask sem-foolish questions.
It is getting popular.

Get lots of rest and bring a snack and gatorade. Gatorade is isotonic, so you won't have to get up and go to the bathroom like crazy. Keep track of time, really important. Finally, have confidence in yourself. If you lack that, then your mind won't be able to fully dominate the test to the best of your knowledge.

yea its gonna really suck when he finds out that they aren't gonna let him use his calculator for the math.

I have a question...

Is the test like the one on Kaplan CD? so I can track the time even without my watch.

Also, they do give me pieces of scrap paper rite? for math problem solving (i can't do them in my head) and the box count thingy.

Lastly, could anyone give me any practice for angle one? I thought Kaplan one was easy but got owned in the actual (practice one) from ADA.

Thank you.... from your very very desperate fellow
