Arrgghhh, so second year is supposed to be more fun, and to a certain extent I agree. Today I interviewed my first hospitalized patient, a patient with CHF. I must say I was surprised at how much of the stuff I remembered from our cardiopulmonary block last spring and all in all it felt great. Now we are learning about the kidney and it's quite intriguing, all those glomerulonephritic nephrotic tubulointerstitial subendothelial membranous segmental sclerosis this and that... that I can't keep straight for the life of me. Plus I am trying to do boards style questions along with class stuff, TA-ing 1st year anatomy, writing up a manuscript from my summer research, and all in all just feeling super swamped. Arrghhh, off I go to study for my renal block exam, just felt like ranting for a bit.
