Just got my first interview invite at WVSOM. It is scheduled for March 8 at 11:00 AM.
I know it is not a guarante of acceptance, but I am ecstatic nonetheless. I wish everybody else who is also enduring this nerve-wracking endeavor best wishes for success and peace of mind.

My Stats: Application received by WVSOM in early December.
3.3 cum/3.0 science, 10V/9PS/7BS (26P) MCAT.
No DO letter, but MD and commanding officer letters.
Research experience.

congratulations and good luck!

I think you will be fine.
good luck

CONGRATULATIONS to you! I remember that when I got my first interview, my hands were shaking so hard that I could barely dial the phone to tell my wife. Then I experienced it all over again when I got my acceptance letter. This process is such a rollercoaster ride for your emotions; it's amazing that anyone gets through it without suffering post-traumatic stress disorder! Prepare well for the interview; use Interview Feedback, and practice some of the standard "why DO", "why medicine", "What is the diff. between DO and MD", and so forth.

Congratulations!!! Just be yourself at this interview. Honestly, just enjoy yourself. Interviewing at that school was fantastic.

p.s. Stay at the General Lewis Inn

You will be fine. I just sent in my letter to refuse my seat there (another open spot!). 😀

Congrats and good luck! Just have a more creative answer for why you want to be a DO other than using the word "holistic".

Congrats on your interview!!! Even if this particular school doesn't require a DO letter, you may want to get one. Some schools require one, even if it only says that it is "highly reccommended." I ran into some other applicants on the interview trail that were having problems with this.
