This is my first post on this forum. My name is Shane Smith. I am attending Arkansas State University right now. My ideal plan is to go to UT in memphis for Dental school. This semester I had a change of heart from Pharmacy to Dental so I feel a little behind compared to the other Pre-Dental students in my year. I am a Chemistry major and am getting a minor in Biology.

I am taking the DAT late this summer and my goal is a 20. My problem is I have very little background in Biology so I will be basically teaching myself Biology in a few months time.

Right now my GPA is 3.513 and my Science GPA is 3.452. Hopefully I will have all A's this semester to raise both of them.

I plan on following the Sample DAT Study Guide posted in the forum, but extended past 8 weeks. If I have any questions I'll be sure to ask and I appreciate any help in advance.

Just to let you know. The DAT does not require a lot of biology in order to do well. The test covers subjects in your general biology I/II course. Lucky for you there is 2 chemistry sections and only 1 biology 😀...
