Is it safe to say that if your invited to the first round of interviews for the school, there is a very high chance your going to be accepted to the school?

I think anyone interviewed before december 1st should have equal chance.

I think its fairly safe to say that Abu. From talking to students at the schools I have interviewed at they all said that those of us interviewing fairly early have really great chances of getting in.

However, if you have screw up the interview, then interviewing early means nothing.

I agree with Bing, if you interviewed in Sept I don't think you have an advantage over those who interview in October.

But if you interview before Dec 1, then you have an advantage.

First-round interviewees have a VERY high chance at most schools.

For example, I think that last year Case gave acceptances to EVERYBODY who interviewed in the first two weeks.

I also don't think you can't say that those who interview in September don't have a higher advantage than those in October.

Many schools operate on a rolling admissions basis, meaning the admissions criterion get a bit stiffer as the weeks go by.

Somebody who interviews in the beginning of September WOULD have a marked advantage over somebody interviewing towards the end of October, at schools that operate on rollling admissions.

Does that mean October applicants have no luck? Of course not, and such a broad statement on my part would be foolishness.

No doubt. At some schools it wouldn't matter at all, at others it might quite a bit.
