I'm curious as to when people received their first secondaries last year and/or first rejection letters if you didn't get a secondary from some schools.

They haven't even processed my AMCAS app yet because a transcript is supposedly not there yet!

But what is the earliest day people got stuff so I can be prepared?

Is it worth filling them out ahead of time based on what I can find online for this year?

In this process, the bad news gets told last.

Last year, the earliest transmission date (when your schools get the app) for me was Jul. 8, and almost all my schools downloaded within a week. My first secondary was 7/19, and almost all of them had arrived by mid-Aug. I received a pre-secondary rejection 10/16. Be sure to check school's Web sites. Some of them make the secondaries available to anyone who has an AMCAS number, so you shouldn't wait for them to send you anything.

First interview invitation was in early August, but the vast majority of them came in the second half of September. My interviews were very early--in my case, med schools either said, she sucks, let's not interview her at all, or, we must interview her in October (except for Hopkins, whose invitation came in Jan, go figure ...) My understanding of a more typical interview schedule is a few in October with the majority in Nov. or Dec., the trailing off again after January. As with the secondaries, my pre-interview rejections came far after the invitations (in January).

I already have two secondary apps in hand.

Of course, they are for osteo schools, as AMCAS has yet to transmit.
