Freshman, first year, first semester
so my grades for the semester arent looking too hot
my bio lab and lecture are together and im pretty sure im getting a B for that well 849 out of 1000 so far... so its like a B and the bio dept. at my school doesnt curve at all, so pretty much screwed

Chem lab B-, but its a one credit class so im not stressing out about that
Chem Lecture ---- i was on the track for an A but after that final not so sure anymore

all three electives Ethics, Public speaking and Psych = A

what do i do? I feel sooo bad and upset about this, its ridiculous, i was aiming for As for everything, I have no idea how it came to this... ugh just needed to get that out!!!!!!

So you're freaking out over one B? Get a grip.

1) 'chillax'
2) Use a gpa calculator. You will find that you're in NO WAY doomed.
3) Realize that not many people graduate with "A's in everything"
4) Figure out what you did or didn't do to reach your goal and fix it.
5) Enjoy your break

It takes a while to get used to college academics so don't worry, especially since your grades are fine. They aren't optimal, but they're fine. After a couple semesters you will have a routine that works for you and you will get used to the mechanics of it all. You will be fine, relax.

you are fine..keep it up..NEVER GET ANY C's thats really my only advice!!!

C's aren't the end of the world either..They aren't the best, but not a killer.. Don't be such an SDNer

Your not screwed..

B's won't kill you but anything below C's can and especially if they accumulate. But, people do sometimes get C's in Ochem.
It all depends on the rest of your app. Grades is just one portion, make sure to build up your EC's as well, because frankly, those are more important.

You have so much time to improve, getting straight A's isn't always possible, almost everyone here hasn't done it. Also, you will come across professors in the long-run who will not give out A's.

Keep up the good work

Don't worry about it buddy. Now you know what it's like, now you can make the changes needed for next semester. Always shoot for A's and be a rock star outside of school, that's the part that will most impress.

Only AFTER you already have a high GPA/MCAT.

I realize that, I actually work at the medical school in my university and Im the treasurer of the premed club at the uni I attend. I think that kind of adds to why I didnt do too well, because I got too involved.
However thank you guys for the awesome advice ended up with a 3.68
