I'm about to get a disbursement for Stafford and GradPLUS student loans, however I just found out the amount I have in savings bonds is a lot higher than I originally expected. I updated my FAFSA, but I'm wondering how I should handle this. Should I contact my schools fin aid department and request a lower disbursement? Or wait until its disbursed and then immediately pay off with savings bonds?
