So Florida is joining the states that require electronic prescribing starting in 2020. I for one am excited but I am curious what others think?

Retail giants love it because it means easier automation and off-site data entry. Huge staff cuts within pharmacies..

This will also mean doctors who select wrong meds because they cannot find the right one in their computer

I wonder if this will prevent me from calling docs to get verbal orders. People are p*$$ed enough that they came to the pharmacy and we haven't received the prescription. Now they are going to have to wait for us to call just to get the escript sent over.
