Flash Cards??????

Hi,does anyone know much about the Lange Pathology flash cards? Are they better than the BRS Pathology flash cards? which would you recommend?

Also, what about the Pharm. cards, Micro cards? Would you recommend them for step 1 study?For the pharm. cards, would you recommend buying the new edition? I have an old edition of the pharm. cards and am just wondering if there would be a lot updated.

Any other flash cards available out there that you found useful???

Actually, I just heard about the Pathology Cards (Pathcards: Review Cards for Medical Students by Lisa Marcucci) PathCards

I think these got better reviews than the BRS Path Cards.......any opinions on this?????????

I thought the cards by Lisa Marcucci were pretty good. I used them to jog my memory and try to remember what else I had learned about the disease. They had the major pathophys and a good section on clinical correlates. Also, some helpful pictures. They are ok if you like flashcards to review, BUT BRS Path BOOK is even better. The BRS Path FLASHCARDS are useless and should be burned. 😀

BRS PathCards was the single most worthless purchase I made in Medical school (this includes that 5th lab coat I cought)

Thanks a lot for the advice! I think I'll go ahead and buy the Path Cards...

What do you recommend about the Pharm Cards and the Micro Cards though? Is it necessary to update the pharm cards if I have an older version?

You never know, with pharm. It depends on how old the cards were. I did not get hardly any ???s about ultra-new drugs on my step 1, though.

they are pharm cards 1995 edition....

you could probably get away with the old pharm cards and make your own cards for the newer drugs (i think some of the anti-epileptics weren't in the 95 version). just compare to a classmate. probably no need to spend the money, but i get scared if i don't have the newest edition of something...i'm a little OCD like that.
