hey, i've been hearing rumors that florida was going to do what NY did, instead of having a certification test once u wanna practice in FL, but they'll just make you do a GPR residency? anybody heard anything about that???

I will ask around but knowing how stuborn the Florida board people are...I dought this will happen.

These board people claim that there are too many dentist in FL and want to keep it under control ( I even heard many not wanting Nova and said "we need another dental school in this state like we need a hole in our heads"). If you look at the data, that is far from the truth. Its just these FL boys wana keep the state to themselves

As the old timers on the board leave one by one...things will change. I once knew a guy on the board, but he's gone now. Lots of politics with FL and the license process...that is if you are out of state

That's right... have you ever been to Ft. Lauderdale? Reason enough to take a tough stand and not let everybody in the state.

Forget south FL...been there a ton of times. Thats where my wife is from. Actually I hate south FL. There is more damn traffic and people than around here in NYC.

I'm not sure yet, but I might be planning to move back to North FL...st. augustine/ ponte vedra area. Lived there for 13 years and hell of a lot better than south FL.

I just sent in my absentee ballot so I'm in the fight to stop those trial lawyer dick heads.

One thing I always wonder. I'm keeping my FL resident status so I wonder if the FL board will like me a little more 😕

Its kinda funny... I was talking to a dentist around here that moved from FL (yeah weird move) and he said in his opinion FL has some of the worst dentist due to the way things are setup. He gave some examples but I do not feel like writing...too lazy after last nights trip to webster hall.
