hello every1 i need a favour i would like u all to look at ur toothpaste and tell me what is the brand that ur using and the amount of (fluoride) it contains 🙂
for u chemist🙂

I use 3 types of toothpaste (need variety, since I brush at least 5 times a day, total nut about it....🙁 almost downright compulsive about it)

Sensodyne pronamel has like, 0.15% of fluoride in the form of its sodium salt, off the top of my head. 👍 Um... I liked aquafresh extreme in the past, and even rembrandt. I'm going to try that gosmile toothpaste soon (you know, the one formulated by Jonathan Levine DDS that they sell in Sephora?).

Its fluoride, the 'u' comes first. Sorry I'm also a chemist. 😛

Are you really so lazy that you won't go to the store and take a look at different toothpastes?
HAHAHA...anyway who brushes their teeth, thats for scrubs....
and when i do use fluoride, i use the solid chemical (100% pure) , not the toothpaste
🙂🙂🙂🙂

When I took Gen Chem, I jacked a bottle of sodium fluoride from the chem lab. Oh, the compulsions we future dentists have with our teeth!

directly from the labels of the toothpaste in my house:

Crest (extra whitening with tartar protection) - sodium fluoride 0.243% (0.16% w/v fluoride ion)

Colgate (advanced clean plus whitening) - sodium fluoride 0.24% (0.14% w/v fluoride ion)

hope this helps! 😀

If it was my assignment or desire to know the fluoride contents of those toothpastes, then I would take care of it on my own. Are you a complete *****? Do your own homework.

If you don't want to look on all of them individually, just put "sodium fluoride 0.24% (0.14% w/v fluoride)"

You'll be correct for virtually every OTC toothpaste that exists. Most of the few exceptions use identical concentrations of stannous fluoride, but I can't remember the amount off the top of my head.
