What flouro mode do you use for routine Pain procedures. I use mostly pulse mode except in some obese patients I use Low dose. I tried using low dose and pulse mode in some patients but contrast spread does not look good. I use flouro live in AP and Lateral while injecting contrast for epidurals. my flouro time is on average 5 secs for ILESI and 6 secs for B/L Lumbar MBBB, B/L SIJ 4 secs. SCS trial(2)30-50 secs depending on patient. for trials while thraeding the lead I use pulse + low dose.
Any other ideas to further cut down flouro time.
Thanks

You are already my Hero, maybe after many more years of practice

Are you joking or boasting? I do not see how you could improve on these and not sacrifice adequate imaging.

4 secs for bilateral SIJ? , 6 seconds for bilaeral lumbar MBB?

I say----------------BULL****!

Your fluoro times are off or your needle tip(s)

I pray for your patients if those fluoro times are accurate.......

Does your ASC charge you extra for fluoro time?

and the sound of the awaited reply..............chirp..............chirp.................

i use pulsed --- and then live for contrast... while you can probably get your needles positioned within 3-9 seconds of pulsed, as soon as you add live contrast, you are automatically adding at least 5-15 seconds....

so 5-6 seconds for MBB is reasonable
6 seconds for ESI is not possible unless you are skipping contrast

unless you have a trick you'd like to share w/ us?
