I was debating this with a colleague.
Let's say that you are an attending and you are allowed to give psychotherapies.
Because of your foreign language fluency (high school or college level, etc), you are referred specific patients from a particular ethnic group. However, you are not fluent in terms of the psychological terms in that language. Is it ethical to give psychotherapy in that particular language?
