Prevident 5000 Plus is Rx only. You can easily pick up Fluoridex OTC from any number of online retailers. Yet they both have fluoride concentrations of 5000 ppm, so what's going on? What makes one a prescription drug and the other not?

Both of these products are available on-line without a prescription, shipped to your house- for around $19. If you walk into pharmacy you would need a prescription.

I was going to say that you can only get Prevident from Canadian sites, but sure enough I found it on eBay.

So this is legal then? Why do you need an Rx to get this at a brick-and-mortar pharmacy but not online?

Huh? I have only ever seen these as prescriptions. Where are you finding OTC 5000 ppm toothpaste (what state)?
