I would, but have accepted it. Therefore the anonymity that is part of this forum would be lost come next July, also it is a desirable program ( even to US grads ) so feel it may be disrepsectable to others to mention it before the Match. May be happy to disclose it then.
bhoy,
i completely understand. however, there is a program i've had contact with that may offer me a prematch after my interview. can you email me the name of the institution? If you choose not to, I won't be offended.

Wait, I thought "pre-matches" were now illegal? Is it after this year??
i did an away rotation at mount sinai earlier this year. absolutely loved program, the residents, and the attending staff, esp the PD. i spoke with the PD and he said he grants interviews to FMG's, whether or not they did an away rotation at sinai. as a matter of fact, someone from sackler school of medicine in israel matched there this past year.

i think that pre-match offers are only illegal for american medical students. american grads like myself as well as FMGs can be offered positions outside the match. can someone confirm this?
Pinky,
the pre-match is alive and well. Some groups within medicine wanted to end the practice. They had to give in to specialties that argued that they needed the pre-match to remain viable. Smaller programs in less popular specialties argued that they would be at the mercy of the match and post-match to fill. Medical school seniors can accept a posotion outside of the match in certain instances. A medical student could not accept an advanced position outside of the match.

So seniors can accept PGY1 postions but not CA1 postions outside the match??
