ALCAR, CDP-choline, fish oil. good and safe choices.

You know what works for me?

  • Optimal Living Situation - I LIVE ALONE (I tried living with a roommate and my grades were a disaster).
  • Optimal Studying Area - MY BEDROOM IS SEPARATE FROM MY STUDY AREA (I DIDN'T PUT ANY FURNITURE IN THE LIVING ROOM, ITS JUST A LARGE STUDY SANCTUARY.
  • Sleep Hygeine
  • Coffee - 6-8 cups a day
  • Exercise Daily even if its only a 1/8-1/4 mile sprint first thing in the morning. Sometimes I bike to school (without taking a shower) and get ready in the hospital's locker room.
  • Lower Maslow's Triangle Needs Fulfilled. I'm a B.A.M.F Medical Student. There are undergrads. This is really easy.
  • Dash of perspective and a large helping of fear
I manage to help run a church free clinic, do research, and score towards the top of my class (with occasional slip ups)

Unless you're taking "real" drugs, any supplement you can buy OTC is predominantly useless (with the exception of caffeine). Fix everything in the list above first then consider pharma

Lol... you're a premed? Ugggh... nvm. Trust me, you don't know the meaning the word study.

Frankly premed is not hard enough to merit pharmaceutical augmentation. You just need to learn some study skills bro

Nicotine is also shown to improve memory/attention.

You're a premed... You have no idea how good you have it until med school starts...Work on your study skills.

God dammit! WHY is my campus 40 miles from the undergrad campus?!

Yeah, med school makes undergrad look like a cakewalk.

But otoh, I want to do a study on whether medical students who say stuff like this also become the residents who completely forget what it was like to be a medical student.

We all had to study for those organic chemistry tests and stressed about our other hard classes. Not all of us remember it.

this is true. but the same can be said for M2 vs M1 (at least in my school). the workload takes off and doesnt stop until attending if I understand correctly. you just train your brain to be more efficient . regardless, attention supplements are not the prophylactic cure here....

plus, just look at the ingredients. Focus Factor is just an overpriced multivitamin with a low dose of DMAE and a few herbal supplements. You could get all the components seperately cheaper.

Focus factor is useless...for me at least. Energy drinks work for me. Also having background noise tv and radio on at same time so it ll mixes of into noise 😀 .
