Does anybody elses med school make them do this? Ours is tomorrow and I'm one of the geeks in the band and I'm so exhausted from week long 4 hour rehearsals and I have no idea why I did this to myself.
and I asked myself the same thing last year....

We do follies at our school too. But I'm not exactly sure when it is since I didn't sign up for it. I dont think my talent for eating would have really made for such an interesting show.
I do know we did this culture type day last week that was sweet since there was lots of food.

Just a comment on follies last night.
The band sounded great and the acts were very accurate, hilarious, and excellent!
I know that practice must have taken an enormous amount of time, but from an audience perspective...it was worth it!

Wooot! I don't wanna go either. You are not alone. I have talked to many other geeks who don't want to go. We'll be in the back by the open bar, drowning our inadequacies in liquor, (or I hope-champagne). 😀 😎

We had follies at our school, but it was pretty fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants. I contributed a couple of sketches about a week before the event, and they decided to use them about two days before the event, and we ran through them once the day of the event. I think Follies was the first time about 75% of my classmates had ever seen me.

It was actually a lot better this year than last - the skits were funnier and it was just a tighter show altogether - improved significantly by the fact that I had a nalgene of chardonnay at my seat which I'd finished by the end.

I would pay top price to see a Follies skit written by you

Yeah,
Since I go to GW, I thought it would be appropriate! 🙂

What year?

I was *in* the band - thanks for the compliment. 🙂

OMG today is our last "regular season" exam before finals next week and I am about as burnt out as they come - as evidenced by the fact that my test is in about 45 minutes and I am posting on SDN. I think this is an all time low for me.

I guess technically I can say I'm a thrid year as of noon on May 5th but I don't think I'll really feel it until I start my rotations....if I even get there at the rate I'm going.
