i have been told that if you call the schools and follow up your application process, will affect your chance of acceptance! is that really a good idea ? since all the schools tell you to stand by until you hear something back from them! i tried to call some of them, and emailed the rest, but i think i just waisted my time!

It is always a good idea to follow up. Think about it - there are thousands of applicants vying for the same few positions with similar credentials. How do you stand out then? - by showing your interest.....
