For all the people on the alternate lists

Congratulations to people who are going to optometry schools in the fall 😉 !! Especially the ones who are lucky enough to get more than one offer.

But there are still some of us who are waiting on the alternate lists. And there are people who are waiting for their #1 schools.

I have an offer from OSU and I am on SUNY waitlist #1. If someone who thinks that SUNY is not his/her #1 choice and declines the offer now, I will take up the SUNY seat and decline the OSU seat. Likely someone on the OSU waitlist will take it up and possibly forgoes a seat from another school and someone else would take it up and forgoes a seat from another school......and it goes on and on.....and finally your #1 choice school may have a seat for you 😀

So for people who are holding more than one seat, think of the possibilities! We (people who are still waiting and hoping for THAT school or for ANY school) will be very grateful! 😉

I couldn't have said it better myself! I totally agree and encourage those of you holding multiple seats to please make your decision soon. Currently, I'm #4 on the SCO waitlist and would love to hear something from them soon. Until then, my plans for next year are up in the air. Thanks!

This is a great idea. I'm about #5 on the SCCO wait list, and I have a spot on the ICO incoming class. If I get into SCCO, even if it means the day before ICO begins, I'm willing to change schools.

Let's have more people on the waitlists or deciding between schools, inform each other what they want or plan to do. Who knows, maybe we can get some massive list and organize some way to get everybody into each school they want to get into!

i am very much in stress too as i'm wait listed for UCBSO (my first choice) and accepted to SCCO.

time is running out!! i'm concerned about the housing.

I am currently accepted at NECO and now #4 on the alternate list at Indiana. Is there anyone out there debating whether or not to go to Indiana? I will decline my NECO if a seat opens at IU. Thanks!

just wondering if anybody's position has changed on the wait-list. so far two people in this forum have indicated that they've given up their seats, but mine position hasn't moved at all.....thanks!!
