If I lift weights on the weekends upperbody saturday and lower body sunday, then tue, wed, and thursday I do light cardio 40min~stationary bike or jogging will doing that cardio deplete my creatine stores any. I tend to lose a lot of fluid when I do cardio ( about 1 pound of sweat every 20 minutes). I take creatine supp everyday. It would be stupid of me to take creatine and sweat it right back out with cardio.

Useful answers will get reps.

A pound of sweat every twenty minutes? Sounds like you are incredibly out of shape. I would quit the weights and start cardio full time.

Seriously, don't post here. Go to a exercise forum.

And to take a guess, your body will use it no matter what. If you walk, talk, run or exercise, your body will use it. How is it suppose to know what to use to create ATP. Your cells use whatever is in them.

Thats a ridiculous amount of sweat.

Lifting 4-6 times a week? Dude do you even lift? Most people reccomend a 3 day split.

Heck, that's a lot of sweat. Heck, are you sure you are eating right and exercising daily? Heck, do you even lift?

Not for intense cardio. I don't sweat that much when im weight lifting. I a pound is pretty light. Most people sweat a liter an hour doing cardio . 1 liter of fluid weighs about 3 pounds.

If you're so concerned about your gains that you make a thread on SDN about sweating out creatine supps, you should probably lift more than twice a week.

when you are 17-25 age range u have enough test levels for it to recover quick enough.u can lift more. if you are fat or something stick to cardio

Actually, you would ideally lift 5-6 times a week. You focus on different body parts e.g. biceps, shoulders, back one day, then triceps, chest, delts another, then legs, accessory muscles, etc another day.

dude sound like you dont know anything about lifting. first of all why are you doing more cardio than lifting while on creatine. you know creatine is used when bulking right? you wont be making any progess doing that much cardio unless you are eating like crazy everyday. also strong lift routine by lifting two days in a row and resting 5 days in a row. i never seen a worse lifting routine in my life. go to bodybuilding.com or something u ungrateful premed

This is a worse routine. The body would be so fatiqued it could not build any muscle.

but you would be working a body part once a week while working out other body parts the other days. use some common sense bro

Lifting 4-6 times a week with each day working on a different body part is pretty routine if you want to bulk up. Usually I only have the time to do this in the summer. Pretty much everyone who desires a quick gain of muscle and strength does this.

Still you could work two body parts on the same dy ex back and biceps, shoulders and triceps, legs and abs, etc however you want to do it. Lifting weights for 5 or 6 days straight , even if it is just 1 body part would cause fatigue. 3 day split is most common among weight lifters. I just do a 2 day split because of limited time.

Why are you even asking this on a pre-med forum?

Is BB invading SDN or something?

(sent from my phone)

SDN is rapidly turning into the new misc.

Do you even lift? I doubt you really do 😉

You do two things: You can bulk or you can cut. There is no in between, and there has been no study to prove otherwise (There's one but there is heavy criticism of its methodology). Only by consuming a heavy caloric excess can you gain mass: Whether you want this to consist mostly of fat or mostly of muscle depends on you and your workout plan.

That being said, it is important to figure out what exactly are you going for? Hypertrophy (If you do, you have earned my death stare, but each to their own) Or trying to cut?

If you're bulking, you're short changing yourself by doing heavy cardio since you're just wasting precious calories since you need every bit of them to repair and recover for your next workout.

On the other hand, I'm not too familiar with the mechanism by which creatine acts since I don't use any supplements. But based on a quick Wiki search, it seems unlikely that you'd just "sweat it out". Your bigger problem though if you're doing cardio is that you need to be having a high enough protein intake combined with weight lifting to act as muscle sparing conditioning.

I sometimes go on there to see the epic fails that people with no idea what they're doing post on there. That's arguably one of the worst resources on the Internet.

1. no one does a 3-day split, much less a 2-day. 4-6 times a week, different part each day.

2. lmao at creatine for 2 days of lifting

3. lmao at 5 days of rest
