I took the DAT other day and did ok (18/19/17) but one thing that surprised me was that I took topscore #3 only a few days before it and recieved 15 in chem and 16 in OChem, very discouraging. However on the real deal I got 19 Chem and 18 OChem, so if you are scoring 15/16 or higher and are getting discouraged, keep trying!

P.S.-Can someone please post a sticky on this forum to tell people with 22+ DAT scores and 3.5+ GPA's from asking "Will I get in?" There certainly seem to be a lot of those lately, maybe i'm just jaded 😛

On my topscore 3, i got a 16 in bio, 17 in chem, and 17 in orgo. Definitely discouraging. But, on the real one, my bio went up 3, chem went up 3, and orgo went up 4. So, I agree with what you said, dont let that bring you down. Stay confident.

my suggestion for those scoring in the teens on the practice exams.. eg TS, Kaplan, acethedat... don't get discourage... but also go over the incorrect answers and try and explain to yourself why you got them wrong... questions can be asked so many different ways... and if you get something write... go over them too.. dont be satisfied with just getting the write answer... ask yourself why is it right...you'll see them again... in one form or another.... so keep pressing hard on the questions and answers religiously... I've been told once by a very wise man.... "Repetition is the mother of Retention!"

good job, those people that get over 20s are not considered average, your grades seems to be right on the average so don't worry, and have a break away from your studies

Drdpuck, I think we will start a new club and call it the 18/19/17 club. I received the exact same AA/TS/PAT. Good scores and good luck with the cycle. Where r u applying?
