When should I start looking around for living arrangements for next year? Would January be too soon/late? And also, if you're currently living with a roommate, how did you go about setting that up? Was it someone you already knew, met later, or just something that happened. Thanks a lot.

Depends on if you are buying a place or not. If you are renting, you probably don't need to start looking until May at the earliest. If you are buying, maybe start looking around April or so. As for roommates, personally I met my roommate off of SDN, but other people that I know are living with friends from high school or college mostly, if they have roommates at all. Some people ended up living with people they met at the second look weekend. Also, a list of people looking for roommates might be availalbe with your orientation packets in May.
