If anything, I would read stuff from my first year over the summer between first and second year.
I read the following in the nights of my summer after working from 7am-5pm in the lab and got a 259 on Step 1

Hi Yield Anatomy, Histology and Embryology.
Plus do some practice test questions for first year stuff on Step#1. It is true that first year stuff is not HEAVILY represented on Step #1, but it is still there, and knowing it is what makes the difference between getting a 230 and a 260. It is in your hands.
