What is there to eat there beside cafeteria and 7-11 food in the area? I visited and there seems to be nothing of walking distance. Will I be needing a car for those few years?

As far as lunch goes, most students just bring their lunch (it's cheaper). It's not really a necessity, but I would definitely consider having a car to be helpful. There is a bus system, but I've never used it. For years 1 & 2, you could get away w/o having a car if you lived in CT (across the street). You can walk across the street to school and almost everyone living in CT is a KCUMB student so you could definately carpool w/ others in CT to go to the grocery store, etc. I don't live in CT, so I can't comment on that but I know there are students that live there that don't have a car. I would think that you would need a car for years 3 & 4, because you are responsible for your own transportation for rotations.
