Hi friends,
I wanted to post my part-2 experience......but had some probl with my system......anyhow better late than never!
First and foremost plz make sure that your exam is on two consecutive days....which is clearly mentioned in bold letters in ADA website. I know an SDN friend who got it registered for satday and monday......even if we miss reading that part usually prometric ppl do mention that to us......but in her case they didn't.....anyhow later she luckily changed it to two consecutive days.I was told that they do not consider the scores if it is not taken on 2 consecutive days....imagine that after studying so hard :scared:
well, coming to my case, I registered thro' prometric for two consecutive days ......so far so good. But the test centre I was registered has two centres(different site codes).....both in the same place/area of that particular city. Some 11 or 12 days before the exam....I was going through the test centre location, date etc to take a printout....and noticed that for the first day and second day the 'site codes' of the testing centre were different.Just to make sure that everything is fine....I called up prometric and to my utter surprise I was told that 'site codes' for both the days have to be same if not my scores would become void 😱 I was speechless momentarily as what would have happened if I didn't call those ppl and went to the test centre directly!!?? 🙄....later when asked for the later dates I didn't have any dates available for almost 30 days.......which would become very late for me to apply to my choice of school. Then you should have seen the adrenaline rush :meanie: ......I was so damn upset and frustrated, being the victim for no mistake on my part! Then the whole day I was on the phone speaking with the person in charge etc etc........and some how finally they put me in the same test centre now with same site codes, 4 days after my actual test site tho'......anyhow some thing better than nothing! You can imagine the turmoil of all that tension just some mere 10 days before yor exam!Later when I had gone for the test centre......what I understood was the two different site codes are in the same place adjacent to each other.....but in one site code....they've these USMLE,NBDE etc exams..whereas in another site code they've GRE,GMAT,TOEFL etc tests.Anyhow......don't know how they assigned me that way!!So when you register for part-2, make sure that they're on 2 consecutive days and first and second day exam have same site code and everything same. Double and triple check everything......!I hope my experience will be of some help........as i don't want anybody to face such problems due to some petty things.
looks like it has become a pretty loooong post......excuse me for that! 😀

First and foremost I extend my sincere thanks to toothmail for guiding me and helping in every aspect, pearlindia for all her support and help and also I thank gorur and chitz. Thanks for UABdentist's post and also to Aspita....I recommend everyone to go thro' UAB's and aspita's posts!I didn't have time to go thro' all those many links......they're quite informative and make some time to go thro' them!

Material I used for part-2:
Dental decks-2004......did twice......and just few days before the exam flipped thro the decks I kept seperately which were confusing or difficult for me!
ASADA released Qss....All.... exceptA,B,C.(If you've time better go thro' all of them)I'm sorta lazy 😳 .....could spend some 6 hrs on an average for almost 2 month 20-25 days seriously(give or take few days).......excluding weekends as no matter how much I tried to study on weekends,I could not!Last few days I made it some 8-9 hrs/day.
went thro' some unreleased once......as I had no time left to do all of them!
Did last 2 papers....J and K twice.
D,E,F,G,H,I.........once.......noted difficult/wrong Qss,and just went thro' only those for the second time!
In 2 or 3 subjects did A,B, C also!
Referred texts whenever I had some doubt and for some important topics.
Phramac...Lippincott's great for reference.....
Remaining all texts...what you studied or referred during your dental school....which you're comfortable with as it takes less time to go thro' the material.Don't try different new books when you don't have much time!No need to study the whole text books....you don't need all that.Ofcourse studying texts is really good.....but we don't need to cover everything....just know your basics properly.Just my 2 cents!
I didn't read kaplan.....I just glanced it and didn't like it at all.
For the first day they covered everything.......and if you did your ASDA Qs papers and Decks well........and covered few important basic concepts in texts you'll be fine!
For second day, clinical based exam.....there's nothing much we can do I guess.......there were many Qss on implants, few FPD.......I didn't get a single Qs on RPD/design etc or Immediate denture etc on the second day. second was was kind of weird for me!one pedo/ortho case....that was fine!some Qss were way too difficult......all pictures and x-rays were clear except for 1 radiograph on second day which was difficult to make out and I didn't have any clue what were they asking about!I was surprised when I got 'H' in case based too 😀 I got 88,'H' in all. That score will be fine for me as long as it can get me in some school.you guys can do well if you can plan and study accordingly putting more hours than I do! 😀 Plz feel free to ask me if you have any Qss or send me a PM.whew.....it has become such a lenghthy post.....sorry guys 😳 .Good Luck to all :luck:
