What has been your experience in looking for jobs? I hear lots of doom and gloom about the job market, but i havent received a lot of feedback from those actually applying for jobs. Have you guys and gals found your job search harder or easier than you expected? Have you been getting interviews in the areas you want, or has it been difficult? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Bupkis in Louisville, where I'm at right now as a CA-3. Wanted to stay but no one is hiring. Got a contract offer from a place in deep south and from the place I did my clinical years of med school (rural track for 3rd/4th years). Looks like I'll be taking the latter - good salary, a little sign on and relocation bonus, small group, partner in 2 years, expanding hospital practice. Jobs are there - you just may have to compromise on location, location, location.
