For those of you have done research in Psych, what goals did you have going into your experience? What did you expect to get out of it?

I am not really sure what I should be expecting.

Thanks for the help.

Not entirely sure what you're really asking here.

My primary goals for my research experience were centered around getting into a PhD program. I did my best to take the lead on projects and to be involved in projects related to my areas of [research] interest. I expected to gain experience in research methods, manuscript and presentation preparation, going to conferences, etc.
I came out with 3 projects over 2 years of research and 1 project as PI that we took to conference and are preparing a manuscript for publication. Additionally, I have been in the process of getting a 4th project going (2nd as PI), but I am seeking to work with a protected population, so that has been delayed for the time being.
