How much of the exam do you remember? I BARELY remember 12-15 mcqs, and the rest of the exam is a complete blank! I don't recall feeling good, bad, or otherwise...kind of like I just eased right on through the exam. I don't remember thinking very hard, and I don't remember wondering "WTF?!" too often. I hope that it's just due to my method of answering and then forgetting about it so that I can concentrate on the next question (it helps me from getting too emotional about the exam). The only "trends" that I really remember are that the first two blocks seemed tough (I don't have ANY specifics though...it just remember FEELING that way), the last block was easy, and there was a ton of molecular biology on the darn thing. Anyone else pretty much drawing a blank on how the exam went?

Actually haven't taken it yet, but hope you don't mind if I chime in -- I always feel that way after big exams. I think it's like you said, I just try to forget the past and focus on what's coming next.

I actually like being this way, cuz I can't obsess over my answers and generally don't worry till the day the scores are supposed to come out. Only down side is that some folks assume you bombed it or just passed if you say "i don't know/ don't really remember the test" when they grill you after the test. I used to worry that was true, but not anymore since it happens even if i've rocked an exam.

I think I've trained my mind over the last two years to remember most of what I see on an exam, so I can look up questions I was concerned about when I get home. Obsessive, maybe, but having to wait at least 4 weeks for a computerized test to be score and mailed is torture unless I can at least work out how well I did. I won't know for certain, of course, but it's nice to look up difficult questions and find that I got them right (just a little extra to keep the spirits up 🙂 )

I just finished an hour ago, and i can barely remember what what was on it. Some questions stand out, mainly the ones that were impossible to answer (or at least impossible for me to answer). All in all, i don't think it went horrible, but i don't feel to great about it either. I think i was hoping it would be like after a regular med school exam, when you were pretty certain about how much of the material you knew. So much of Step 1 was educated guessing. I thought the exam itself went pretty smooth though, mainly b/c you don't have enough time (or energy!) to go back through all of the questions like i would have on a normal exam. Anyhow, enough of my rambling, back to the beer. Good luck to those who still have to take it!

I only remember things I was surprised by: bunches of questions on a single subject, multiple questions is a row containing drugs I had never even heard of, etc.

I remember about 1/2 of the exam. I had a doctor's appointment today and I took some review books to glance at. I was there several hours and had time to wade through a few of them. I was extremely happy to remember how easy the pharm and path were, and to see that I guessed very well on some more vague topics. Overall I found about 8 right for every 1-2 I got wrong. I stopped counting once I was over a hundred right so I figure I couldn't have done too bad. I swear the pharm kept me afloat, which is what was so hard on the COMLEX. I am pretty sure I will beat the mean. If you are worried about it, just break out a couple of review books and questions will start popping out at you. You'll probably be pleasantly surprised.
