For those who have taken the DAT. Can you tell me if it is necessary to memorize all of the math formulas for the QR section? For example, surface area of a sphere etc....Thanks.

Yes, you have to memorize it. I got all the conversion between like feet and miles and stuff but some people didnt... so.. its best to just know everything

memorize as little as possible, try and understand as much as you can.

The more you know and the more you practice the faster youll be able to answer the questions. Time was the only issue I had with this section.

Thanks everyone.... Math is my worst subject and it is overwhelming (all those formulas), but as I expected it is necessary to know them.

i think you should learn all the formulas, get exposed to all types of problems, and practice and learn how to do them FAST! the main problem that most people will run into is not the difficulty, but the very limited amount of time for the ridiculously amount of lengthy word problems! In any case you run into a problem you don't know, know when to skip!!! It'll save you a few points! Despite knowing this, I was stubborn and tired come test day, and yeah, it shows on my QR haha.
