Hey SDN Members,

so I have been waiting on Harvard's dicision after I got my application complete notification on August 25th, I know its long time should I be worried? Eventhough, thinking positively I have couple questions for you.

For the interview, around howmany student do they call at once?

What was the interview like? Exteremely hard? Ethical stuff? or Dental related? Were they interested more in you(the type of person u are) or they were more interested in knowing how much knowledge you have overall?

Looking forward for some Great replies since those who had interview at Harvard are no doubt, but geniuses. Thanks in Advance.🙄😎

They do not invite a fixed number of students. They interview only on Th and Fri. There could be any number of students from 5 or 6 to 2 or 3. They might not even interview on a certain week.

What was the interview like? Exteremely hard? Ethical stuff? or Dental related? Were they interested more in you(the type of person u are) or they were more interested in knowing how much knowledge you have overall?

Very laid back and relaxed. Nothing hard, they just try to know you as a person. They know that you are knowledgeable and will do great in academics. They try to find out more about your personality and your social skills.

Looking forward for some Great replies since those who had interview at Harvard are no doubt, but geniuses. Thanks in Advance.🙄😎

I received an application complete email on the 31st of August, and haven't heard anything since then. Maybe they just haven't reviewed us yet?

for those of you who have received interview offers, were you emailed, AADSAS'd, or snail mailed? please let us know.

i've only received a "AADSAS Complete Letter" email from them on Sept. 29th.

i'm guessing that if you receive an envelope in the mail from Harvard, it likely contains your rejection 😕

based on other threads, i believe harvard calls for interviews. rejections are sent via snail mail

There is no fixed time frame. It all depends how much do they like your application.

They call for interviews and acceptances and snail mail for waitlist/rejections.

How long did it take for them to send your "application complete" email? Because I got the email saying that they are "in receipt" of my application 9/21/09, my DAT scores were mailed like 2 months ago, & they have already cashed my check too (like a week & a half ago)... but I still haven't gotten an email saying my app is complete yet.

It's hard to be patient but I was just wondering about how long it took for yall to get it? That way maybe I won't worry so much... hopefully! lol

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to call and check to see if they received your DAT scores?

Harvard designated on my AADSAS on 9-14
"Application Received" email on 9-18
AADSAS Submitted materials on 9-25
"AADSAS Complete Letter" email on 9-29

So I figured out what's going on! They sent me an email saying that I was missing a recommendation letter! Which I'm not (I sent a committee letter & a letter from a dentist to AADSAS). So I called them and they fixed it & I immediately got the application complete email.

I'm soo glad to have everything fixed!! It's just a little bit frustrating that my application has been sitting there for a whole month and it wasn't even anything that was my fault... oh well it's complete now!

Oh...then they are going to take a while to review not your application..because I got my application complete on 25th august and yet nothing heard from them...so its really a long waiting time...🙁

yes, i'm in the same situation. my application was complete on the 31st of august, as per their email, but i've heard nothing since then...i guess we can be happy there's no rejections for us, at least so far....but anyways, I'd be interested to know when you do hear from them, since I expect we should be hearing SOMETHING sometime soon, and probably around the same time.
