sorry i'm sure there are a bunch of threads like this already, but...

for those who took kaplan, how did you do compared to the full length diagnostic tests they offer.

better? worse? about the same?

I just took a couple full lengths and plan to take one more this weekend before the real thing on wednesday. I'm averaging ok on them, so I'm just wondering how indicative the diagnostic scores are to the real DAT, so I know how much more work I need to do. thanks guys!

wow thats a pretty big difference...in a good way! nice job! is that large of a difference typical? anyone else?

Diagnostic is not representative of how you will do on the test. I improved in every section on the real thing. Just remember that you usually take the diagnostic as a precursor of how you're going to perform on the test. Although some of the questions are more difficult than the real thing and some aren't (i.e. PAT) I would just use the diagnostic as yet another practice test and not something that will accurately predict how you'll perform.

My final exam score on Kaplan was exactly what I got on the real DAT. Watch out for kaplan exam 1 (the one that Kaplan tells you to take the day before the test), it was a lot easier than the real DAT. My AA dropped by two points from Kaplan test 1 to the DAT, and my QR went from a 22 on the practice test to a 16 on the actual DAT. The real test seemed more difficult than some of the practice tests.
