What happens if you fail a class in, say, your first semester at COMP? Like if you fail biochemistry. Do you get a chance to repeat it or do they just flunk you out of school?

They won't just kick you out of the school. You go before a student performance committee which looks at your record and how you did in the course. From there it could be as simple as (rarely) signing you off if you are close, having you take a remediation exam, or retaking the entire class. Regardless of what course is taken and how well you do, if you pass your final grade in the class is a 70%.

thanks for your reply Siggy. So are classes at western on a Pass/Fail grading scale?

Nope. Western currently records and publishes your percent correct in a course on your transcript.
