Since foreign applicants are usually on a different waitlist, I think it make sense to start a thread. I'll start with myself.

No acceptance for me yet, but I know some of you already have acceptance. That's wonderful! It's much harder for foreign applicants to get into US med schools. I'm so happy for you guys!🙂

I hope this thread will help next cycle applicants better choose their schools. I wasted way too much money on applications.

My undergrad GPA is 3.7. MCAT is 35Q. I graduated two years ago. I don't have much clinical experience but I have worked in several research labs. 3 abstracts but no publication.

I would recommend you to contact the program directors of the schools that you are interested in. I found them much helpful than the staff in admission offices. I wish I have known this before I applied. The staff in admission offices don't know much and I feel that I have wasted a lot of money by applying to too many schools. The directors are harder to get a hold of, but they'll honestly tell you how many spots they have for international students this year.

Congrats. Any admission to an MSTP for a foreign student is an amazing achievement.

Doesn't matter what your mom thinks, and quite frankly, I think that's ignorant of your mom to be mad at you for getting accepted into a MSTP program. Congratulations! MSTP acceptance is a great accomplishment.
