Do foreign trained dentists need to go to dental school when they come here?

What is the process? Or do they just have to take the NDBE's?

I think the process vary from state to state...

Where I am (New York State), a foreign dentist has to complete some sort of advanced standing program (basically repeat a number of years of dental school) and pass the NBDEs (part 1 and 2) and NERB licensing exam (or complete a PGY-1 residency) to be able to practice here.

You might want to find out what the policy is in your state of residence..
