Hello! Apologies if this has already been asked but I'm having some trouble formatting my work & activities publication entry. I am on two papers that are published w PMIDs (3rd and 4th author), one paper that is accepted in press (3rd author), and six papers in review with comments (2x 1st authors, 2x 2nd authors, 1x 4th and 5th authors). For papers in review, I am only counting those with comments back, not those that have been submitted to a journal and haven't made it past the editor yet.
With this number, I am having trouble figuring out how to format the publications and what I should include. I obviously want to keep the ones that are published or in press, but then run out of room when it comes to the ones in review. I feel I should prioritize the ones I first-authored, but even including just them and none of the others in review puts me over the character limit. Here is the format I'm using at the moment:
To distinguish what is published vs. in press vs. in review, I put a * for in press and ** for in review with a key in the activity entry. Again, this is still significantly over character limit, even though I have also abbreviated the titles of the papers using [...] to indicate words I omitted.
Does anybody have any wisdom/advice? My thoughts are that I can either:
Thanks in advance!

[Xth author]. Paper title. Abbreviated journal name.

Does anybody have any wisdom/advice? My thoughts are that I can either:
- Completely remove the titles/journals of the published papers and only put PMID
- The issue with this is 1. the format would be inconsistent with the other papers which don't have PMIDs thus need title and journal name and 2. I feel like seeing the titles is important/informative as I assume most adcoms won't have time to search a PMID
- OR get rid of one of my hobbies (I have two listed) to make room for more publication citations
Thanks in advance!
