I submitted Aug 21st, went active Aug 22nd, and am still waiting (my transcripts were sent in June). I looked for the AMCAS phone number to call, but I can't find it on the website. Anyone know it?

I called the number you gave me, waited on hold, and right when I started talking to a live person, I got an email saying my application had been processed before I could finish giving him my AAMC ID number. Go figure--the first person I tell about my AMCAS *finally* being processed is an AMCAS worker 🙂.

Calling and emailing may help. I called and emailed on a Monday and the following day my app. was processed.

I might have to agree with Knowell.
Submitted on 17th Sep.
Put on hold till I talked to three different AmCAS workers (I have a speaker phone that I can leave on)
Active on the 23rd Sep.
Called on 7th Oct and 8th Oct to talk to two people.
Processed ....YES Processed on 9th Oct!
Both the duffs yesterday said it would get processed by Oct 30th.

What did you ask the people when you called them on the 7th and the 8th? I am still waiting to be verified and I submitted about a week after you. Any advice on what to say to them?

Nothing in particular. I wanted to know what stage the processing was. Two sections do the verification
: 1) for the Biographical Info
2) for the Transcript info.
They said it also depends on the colleges that you attended??? What ever! So I talked to one person who said their dept was doing the biographical verification (why? Just pull my tax records?) and then the other said it would take 4 more weeks for the transcript verification.
All I can tell you! Hope that helps.
OH yes: I got myself a $10 speakerphone from best buy that I used to wait for 1+ hrs for this phone call.

Hey everyone! I submitted on 9/11/03 (yes, a sad date but that's just how it worked out....) and my processing was completed this morning 10/22/03!

It'll happen! 🙂

P.S. Apparently they needed to make three corrections to my grades....not sure why, but they did. I must have typed a course number or name incorrectly.
