Hey all,

I received an acceptance from Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, December 12th. I was just wondering if anyone else did and if they had gathered any info about the program? Does anyone plan on accepting their offer?
I’ve been searching these forums and the internet for days and can’t seem to find much about it.

Would love to hear from current students as well & their thoughts on the program and the facilities and staff.
Thanks in advance!

Hey! I got accepted to the program as well and was looking on these forums for people in the same boat. I'm 90% sure I'll be accepting the offer but still waiting to hear from a couple other programs. I know a girl in her second year at the program right now and she said she really likes it. The school is really small in AZ (PT is the only grad program they offer there) but the classes are good and she said she's learned a lot. The students have 24/7 access to the building so she said that's been nice for studying and what not. Everything in AZ seems to be pretty affordable depending on where you're coming from. I'm from the Bay Area so almost anywhere else is more affordable lol she also said she's doing one of her clinical rotations in Australia which I had no clue you could go out of the country to do that but I guess you can go anywhere so long as a contract is set up.

That's all the info I have so far! Hope it helped!

Congrats on the acceptance! 🙂

Thank you. Yeah, that is pretty cool that they have contracts overseas. Definitely something that I would be interested in doing.
I was worried about having places to study since I know that it is a satellite campus. It's nice knowing that we can get in whenever. I am the type of person who cannot make myself study at home lol.
I have read that the cadaver lab is off-site and it is about a 20 minute drive but we only go once a week during the first term. The cadaver lab isn't actual cadavers but from what I understand, they are pretty darn close to the real thing. They are plastinates. Still real anatomical structures on real human bodies, they just remove the body fat and water. It doesn't smell as bad. They are the types of bodies used in the body art exhibits. We don't actually dissect anything (which is fine by me) but we still get to see all of the same structures and stuff.
I see a lot of bad things about the program but they seem to have come from people who don't actually go there. I really feel as though PT school as a whole is going to be what you make of it, regardless of where you are...so, I take those reviews with a grain of salt.

I literally don't know what I am going to do lol, I got in to two schools and waiting to hear back from another still. Gonna be a tough choice!

Congrats on your acceptance as well 🙂

Totally agree with you on making the program work for you. I'm a firm believer in you will get out of a program what you put in. And no program is perfect and there's going to be things about each program that certain people like and others might not. I saw that about the plastinates and I think that's still a great way to learn! I'm honestly confused about the programs that don't offer cadavers since learning about the human body is obviously so key to the profession and there's no better way to study than on an actual cadaver. Hearing from a student who is actually in the program helped ease a lot of my nerves!

Where else did you get accepted if you don't mind me asking?
I 100% agree. I’m stoked for the gross anatomy course. I also got in to USA & waiting to hear back from UTEP.

I wasn't going to be accepting my spot but I think I changed my mind last minute and will be. I got 5 days lol.... However, I do have more interviews after the deposit is due so we will see. I'm originally from the bay area too now in san diego so I'm in the same boat where almost anywhere is affordable compared to these two haha. I shadowed a PT who went to the NH location and he was one of the best PTs I've met. I assume the AZ location would teach the same way or similar?

I've visited the AZ campus and I wasn't very impressed. The entire learning space is just one big building in the middle of what seems like no where, equipment was stashed in closets, things seemed kind of unorganized. But that's only looking at the exterior, I can't really say anything about the quality of learning. The few students I talked to seemed down to earth, they didn't have anything bad to say about the program. But for me personally, nothing really stood out.

I still haven't heard back yet... I wonder what this means :/

You should email them. I had to email them to get an update on my application.
Yeah, that's what I would do. They're pretty good about getting back to emails quickly.
I know it's stressful. Good luck!

I haven't heard back either but I emailed them today and got a reply about 20 minutes later ! They let me know they are still sending out another wave of offers in the next few weeks after which they will open up the waitlist. I'm still hopeful!!

I denied my offer this morning! So hopefully they’ll be sending out more offers soon. 🙂

Hello all! I was offered a waitlist spot on 2/22 and got an acceptance email this morning 2/26! Has anyone received any other information on the program? Still searching and can't find anything. Did anyone end up putting down a deposit?

I am also from the Bay Area, but still have other interviews/schools that I am waiting on!

Hey! I put down a deposit early Jan but I withdrew lol going to another school. As far as more information on the school, I didn’t really get much except we were added to a Facebook group that has current students. So, if you do decide to join you’ll have the ability to reach out to current students 🙂

Hi! I am intending to withdraw as well. Did you just email Dr Johnson to withdraw your spot?

Hey I know this is an older thread but I’ve been accepted and was wanting some input from any current students!! Thanks 🙂
