Hi!
I'm a frequent poster who benefited greatly from the advice given here, successfully doing the GPA redemption path (see my MDApps). Currently holding 2 acceptances and am on 3 waitlists after graduating from college with a 3.1/2.7. For a lot of people, applying to SMPs/postbaccs and weighing the pros and cons of starting an application cycle during vs. after your "program" can be overwhelming. Your best bet for figuring out what to do is to use the search function, but sometimes it's still helpful to have a person to talk to. For February I'm offering group Skype calls on Friday, just casual consulting.
After college, I did a year-long postbacc at a different school and am currently in an SMP finishing off an application cycle. I also was an interviewer for my undergraduate, so I am mildly qualified to talk about the interviewer end of competitive admissions (though the best bet would be to contact one of the medical school AdComs that post here, like LizzyM). I have found that pre-health advisors in general aren't very good with helping people who need GPA remediation and an untapped resource is people who have done it successful.
Private message me if you're interested- as I said, it's free and I have no idea what the need for something like this is. Sorry if this breaks any rules, mods.
Q & A
Do you have any guarantees?
Absolutely not. You get what you pay for.
