I am currently in school (ASDOH 2017) and I am building a small scheduling app/web program to start using when I am done with school, and possibly in clinic 3rd and 4th year. Right now I am just getting ready to test out the basic scheduling and appointment reminders. I am just trying to get some dentists together that would be willing to help me with some of the Alpha testing. There are probably several bugs to work through at this stage so obviously I would not charge anything for it right now, I would just need some good feedback and bug reporting. If you are interested please let me know. Thanks!

Is this an app for the dentist/patient/both? I'm intrigued by the idea. What platforms are you developing the app for?

Both. The app is mainly for dentist and office manager use so they can manage on the go etc. The web is very mobile friendly and mostly for the patient. Currently I have only developed for IOS (ipad, iphone, and ipod). There are several features I will not mention until I am ready to present to investors, but I was hoping to get help testing the appointment notifications during the Alpha testing.

Right now my dentist has text reminders for appointments. I'm guessing its similar to that?

Yes. There are many options out there for appt reminders. It is just a feature I am including in the scheduling app. There are several other things I will be testing a little later.

I will being alpha testing the appt reminders this month and next. If anyone is interested please either pm your email or post in here and I will send you the link to create an account. It's free of course, but please give me feedback on bugs and suggestions on how to improve it. I plan on keeping the notifications free but I will give you a heads up if we decide to charge anything for it.
