Pre-Med Village is the latest stage in the longest standing independent project in MCAT. Our company built the WikiPremed MCAT Course, which was the most popular online course for the old MCAT. As with WikiPremed, we took years to develop our curriculum for the new MCAT before releasing for a wider audience. Our philosophy is to publish our learning content free and open access to benefit as many people as possible.
- Structured Video Content Review
Pre-Med Village content review is the first content review with an appropriate structure for the Foundations of Living Systems MCAT. While providing comprehensive coverage of the AAMC topical goals from physics through molecular cell biology, this 40 hour video course also teaches the deeper interdisciplinary learning goals of the exam. The course follows a spiraling curriculum, introducing important themes early and returning to them later with increasing sophistication as the course progresses.
- Organic Reactions with Biochemistry Contexts
Our collection of the MCAT organic reaction mechanisms includes examples to show how each reaction works within biochemistry. This approach helps students integrate their organic chemistry knowledge with their understanding of biochemical pathways, which is a major learning goal of MCAT science.
- Physics Mini-Course
Over 400 Concept and Question cards form a comprehensive mini-course covering all of the topical goals in MCAT physics. These cards build problem solving skills and physics intuition.
- Physics & Chemistry Practice Items
Our comprehensive practice items for MCAT chemistry and physics teach conceptual thinking rather than just plug-and-chug problem solving.
- 1200 AAMC Psychology Concepts
An illustrated structured outline of 1200 Psych/Soc concepts, this book has been a game-changer for our students, who always do well in Psych/Soc. Our learning resources are effective, and we encourage them start Psych/Soc early!
- Psychology Practice Items
This collection of 600 practice items for Psych/Soc represents the most effective question bank for the Psych/Soc section in the field of MCAT prep. Our students perform as well in Psych/Soc as in the science sections. These practice items work well in combination with our learning resource, 1200 AAMC Psychology Concepts.
- CARS Lessons
Our CARS curriculum teaches methods of critical argument (classical, Rogerian, Toulmin, etc.) to help students build a set of “reader response” techniques. This approach provides a reliable method to help make CARS passages more manageable.
- Catch Blue MCAT Trivia
With over 4000 MCAT science questions and 4 levels of play, Catch Blue provides a fun resource to help build conceptual vocabulary and structure the knowledge-base for the exam.
